Raising Dough: Flour & Co and Wildcare

4 May

In the month of April, we supported St. Anthony’s for our Raising Dough Initiative. St. Anthony Foundation’s mission is to feed, heal, shelter, clothe, and lift the spirits of those in need, and to create communities where all people flourish. Our guests donated an amazing $102 which we will double bringing our donation to $204 dollars for St Anthony Foundation! Thank you all for helping us reach out to wonderful organizations, such as St Anthony’s, to create connections and promote community.

May is here, which marks the time of year when most wildlife babies are born and that makes it the perfect time to support the urban wildlife rehabilitation center, Wildcare.  Based in Marin, they are faced with an interesting challenge due to the expansion of the urban centers of Marin County which stretched into wild places. Due to this expansion, wildlife and people have found themselves calling the same land “home”. Wildcare works to ensure the coexistence of humans and wildlife by treating sick and injured animals, by educating people how to live peacefully alongside wildlife, and by advocating for improved wildlife protection. A Living with Wildlife Hotline is available at all times to help people safely handle any wildlife they encounter and their education programs connect with their community through on-site, in-classroom and in-the-wilderness programs.

To help Wildcare advocate for wildlife, educate the community, and rehabilitate injured wildlife, you can drop your change on our donation box at the bakery! We are so appreciative of our wonderful guests and your continued support in our Raising Dough Initiative and we are humbled by your generosity! Happy May!
